You and your kids will never get bored with this homemade cereal cripies recipe because there are tons and tons of things that you can do with it. I say its a recipe canvas which you can twist and turn according to your mood and the trends. Just use this particular recipe as a rough guide. You can definitely use different types and colors of cereals, chocolates, marshmallows and even add fruits and nuts. Just endless!Cereal Crispies_IngredientsAs you can see here there are only four ingredients and similarly, there are only four steps:

1 – Melt 6 cups (300 g) of mini marshmallows and 6 tbsps (90 g) of unsalted butter in the microwave oven for about 30 secs. Stir and if necessary, return for another 15 to 30 secs. If you do not have a microwave oven, you can definitely do this on your stove top. Use a heavy bottomed pot over low heat to melt your butter before melting in your marshmallows.Cereal Crispies_Marshmallows and ButterI used mini marshmallows for easier melting but using large marshmallows is perfectly fine. You can also opt to use the more affordable margarine rather than real butter.

2 – Remove from the heat and stir in 6 tbsps (127 g) white chocolate chips or bar until melted and well-blended. Actually, you can leave this out if you want it to be less sweet or you can’t get a hold of white chocolate. This is just my personal preference. By the way, I used the more affordable compound white chocolate chips =).Cereal Crispies_White Chocolate3 – Carefully fold in 1 medium box (150 g) of corn flake cereals until well-combined. I used Nestle because it is the most affordable, hehe. Cereal Crispies_Cereals4 – Pour into a pan of your choice. It’s up to you what shape or how thick you want your homemade cereal crispies to be so please take it away. Just set aside and refrigerate once a little bit cooled until firm enough to cut. Of course, you can just leave it out at room temperature and it will still firm up but if you’re like me who likes to speed things up as much as possible, just refrigerate.Cereal Crispies_Square PanPlease note that the proportions or measurements given in this recipe is according to my personal taste and preference for texture. This is a marshmallowy soft, chewy but still crunchy cereal crispies. If you favor a crunchier or firmer treat, then feel free to decrease the marshmallows and butter accordingly. Enjoy!Cereal Crispies_bitten
