We went for a mini Asian tour for my husband’s 35th birthday and our first stop was in Bangkok, Thailand. Way to start a memorable trip! We didn’t avail a tour package. I arranged everything so we could save as much as we could. Of course, it had its pros and cons. One major disadvantage is the big language and accent barrier. We had some difficulties finding the places we planned to go to but I treat it as all part of the experience. Junmark on the other hand, got a little stressed out =p
There are two things that my husband and I both loved while in Thailand. It’s the food and the massage. Thailand is well known for its temples but we remember it more for the food and the authentic no-fuss thai massage at Wat Pho. Oh life!
Pad thai is the national dish of Thailand and the best one is served at Thip Samai, also known as Pad Thai Pratu Pi. It was a gastronomic revelation! I can’t wait to go back to Thailand and have two plates of this! And of course their coffee buns!!! I am seriously getting hungry writing this post.
Food, food, food and even more FOOD! We love Bangkok and all its flavors! As a culmination, we of course had more food during our Chao Phraya River Cruise.
’til next time Thailand! I will definitely come back just to eat your food ^_^
